I have 3 grey northern inuits and 2 black belgian shepherds who between them can certainly shed.

I wouldn't have time to hoover every day or so even if I wanted to. I hoover and do floors every week, although I suppose we don't spend a great deal of time in the house

It`s nice to know I`m not alone in being ..um.. not terribly houseproud.
I did a magazine quiz once - `Are You A Slob`.
I didn`t get past the Question One which was...
Have you ever wiped a table with your sleeve.

You always make me laugh Malka!

Should do it every day here - Cyprus VERY dusty country - dust seems to come in even if doors and windows closed.

Even if you can't SEE the dust on the floor - you can see it when the dog has picked it up on her paws and walked across the black shiny furniture or my white bed sheets!

I've invested in this little lightweight wand type hoover now and can whizz round with that most days and only do the BIGGIE clean every 4 or 5 days or so.

One thing I've learned from having hard tiled marbley type flooring throughout is that you get a LOT MORE DUST AND FLUFF when you have rugs and mats down than when you don't.

Even if I use my tumbletwist type cotton rugs that are washed once a week - the hoover will fill with fluff that is the colour of the rugs.

Another thing it brought home to me is just how much HUMAN HAIR is on the floors every day. Something I did not notice when living with fitted carpets in the UK.

In fact I now think my floors must have been FILTHY in the UK - just couldn't see it all when it was settled into a carpet!

......House proud.....hmm....

Less guests this way

I try and make sure one or two hours one day a week is given over to a bit of surface cleaning.....but I can usually find more important things to do!!

When I had GSDs and small children I admit to hoovering every day - I could still never get rid of all the shed fur.

I can remember finding dog hair inside the CD player and in the drawer of the DVD player! When I had a new staircarpet put down there was even GSD fur UNDER the old one!

I'd find it in the back of kitchen floor units and EVERYWHERE!

Another 'every day' cleaner here It doesn't take long if you get into a routine.

I don't like putting chemical flea treatments on my dogs. Good houskeeping helps to prevent having a flea problem because you are disturbing the flea's life cycle and not given them the opportunity to get a foothold in your house

Different type of hair tho; short white hair & cat hair in abundance gets everywhere. Got a free zoom groom last week & it is good altho only one cat tolerates it

Investigated in a G- Tech for upstairs, they are so brilliant, you can fly around cleaning / so light & easy to work with.
