Rhianna used to call my mum Grandma Polly because her dog was called Polly

I really wish she could have remembered her when she was well because my mum could hardly move about by the time Rhianna got to about 3 or 4 year old and Rhianna wondered why she couldn't play with her like her other grandma could (although her other grandma is nearly 79 but fortunately in better health than my mum was) At least she has still got one grandma left - I never had a grandma or a grandad cos they had all died before I was born
I lost my grandad at 3 and a half, and to be honest i don't remember much about him. The sad thing is that the one bit of him i do remember is him dying

I did grow up with my Nan (his wife who we lost last november) and my nan and grandad from my dads side, and of course all the happy memories and funny stories they told me about my grandad, but somehow its just not the same
As Rhiannon grows older she will begin to smile at the times she did have with her grandma polly and the memories she has from them. its just such a sad thing
