Nothing more to say on this, I just get infuriated when people make things up to support situations when they actually have no proof of it at all whatsoever. Seen it too many times Ailsa, too many times.
Its best to work on facts not assumptions when you are talking about dogs you have no knowledge of, but thats me.
No Dawn I'm not being silly I am explaining her behaviour to you. I missed the e collar bit out on purpose as you are so offended by it...can't win obviously.

No one had ever raised a hand to him, but you wouldn't have thought that if you saw him cringing and cowering.
As far as Tango goes, I have no idea whether she had an ecollar used on her or not, but knowing how some gamekeepers operate, it wouldn't completely surprise me
.
What in her actions makes you think she was punished for chasing Ailsa?
Okay.
She is anxious when she sees other dogs running...lots of lip licking and she will often start to pant. Not a huge amount and I suppose some people may miss it...but it happens more often than not. She then fixates. She now has a good recall away from this sort of situation, but she does not want to pay attention...at her worst she won't even take a treat but that's rare, we can often get her sitting now. IF she is free, she will chase and floor the dog. She will then back off if the dog stays down. If the dog tries to run again...she will stop it.
She does not do this to dogs that are standing still or lying down...she is pretty fine with them. It is an issue about running.
She is hyper about other dogs that she sees that are still or just walking, she is so keen to say hello and more often than not she will say hi then come away with no problem, she doesn't 'like' all dogs (especially small ones) but loves some larger dogs, Dylan the Labradoodle being a particular fav!!!
They will play with her onlead...but Dylan is a muppet and doesn't run off, he boxes with her and plays her way.
Anyway suffice to say this is an issue with running dogs. She wants them to stop. She is such a friendly girl and is so fab with Cosmo (but doesn't like him running either) and with many other dogs she meets onlead...I think she has been punished for chasing dogs on shoots.
She also chases birds...but she won't let them land. Again she would have been punished for that.
She would also chase sheep given half a chance. Given she lived out in the sticks...I think she would also have been punished for that. Either that or she just didn't get out much....
I think she has been punished for all of those behaviours because she is anxious.
I think it was a shock collar as she would now know she isn't wearing it. It could have been used in those situations to stop her before she did it...or whilst doing it.
The dog chasing thing I think she wants them to stop BECAUSE she associates running dogs with punishment.

I should have been more clear about that, sorry.
RE the part in bold, did she show this behaviour from day one? or did it unwind after she gained some confidence?
is she aggressive with all dogs running? or is it only dogs coming from infront? or behind? sorta thing?
From day one. All dogs running.
No need to apologise...
I didn't think you were having a go or anything.
