signed, the home where I work, dogs are brought in by dog wardens, and are scanned before arriving by them, they are also scanned when they are being booked into the home, unfortunately we find the biggest problems we have are 1,owners even though we contact them dont bother to claim them and 2 the owners details are out of date, the owners have moved and not changed the details, the phones are no longer available etc, we still send out cards to the addresses we are given in the hopes that the new owners of that address may know where the owners are. I think probably the biggest problem is dogs/cats that have died in a road accident, I dont think the councils bother to scan the animals and let the owners know what has happened to their pets.

There are only three days left to sign, every signature is hugely appreciated - there's strength in numbers. Thanks to all who've signed already, either through this forum or others but we still need more help. Please inform all dog owners that you know and encourage them to sign the petition - it's of relevance to all of us.
The petition closes on July 11th.
