I lived in the Middle East for 15 years hence why I can actually speak from personal knowledge.

And if a nation can be judged on how they treat animals, how do you think GB would come out with its HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of abandoned animals?

There are thousands of well cared for animals in the Middle East including dogs, cats, horses etc etc.

I am sure your post was not implying I was a liar was it?

I have also ridden across Jordan raising money for BHS Welfare for the Brook Society for Horses.

Agree with SB.

Btw, since when does eating dog make a person/nation evil?

To some cultures dogs are food, to us in our culture they aren't.

To us in our culture cows are food, to some cultures/beliefs cows are sacred.

In that respect threw their eyes, we're just as cruel and evil...You maynot like it...tough.

People like to think of others as completely different, as 'not like them'. For the simple fact that, to acknowledge their similarities is to accept that they too are just as falable, just as capable of corruption and cruelty.

My point is different countries have different attitudes to dogs on the WHOLE, some good, some not so good.

I've seen it to

There's also a group against it on a social networking site.

It saddens and horrifies me that the human race can stoop to these lows

Yes, it does make me ashamed to be part of a race that can do such things to animals.
Absolutely sickening. So upsetting to hear of things like that.

Hey this world if full of strange and evil people who do not respect life in any way shape or form , some countries are worse than others they cannot even treat each other with some respect and dignity , I did not believe how bad this was until I worked in India and saw how little human life could be valued never mind that of an animal, all we can do is try and make it better and its a long journey to get to an acceptable level of whats right and wrong.
