Thank you, me too! She'll be hip scored in about 5 months so that'll be the first hurdle to get over. Then there's the PRA DNA test, any ideas how you can stick a prickly little brush into a Springers mouth for several seconds without it being eaten?!

Yeah, you're right, it's pronounced Bon eye la! But don't worry, I've had a few people as how her name is pronounced!

Can I make a suggestion? Always have the cheapest test done first because if they fail that then it's less money paid out lol!

Thanks both! Never even thought of the Madonna song!

Looks like the PRA DNA test will be first on the list! If I can retrieve the damn brushes!

I thought of the affix ages ago and even though it'll be a good few years before I consider breeding, I thought it would be a good idea to grab the name while it might be available!

Good job I did, I think!

I have had my girls PRA tests done by blood samples, I personally feel this is a more reliable method, plus it has to be drawn by a vet and signed after the micro-chip has been scanned and confirmed.

I think my girls would eat the brush too....lol.

Can you do this with English Springers, with it only being recently discovered?

I emailed the AHT and they sent me the kit, with no mention of a blood test!

Would it be worth mentioning it to my vet when Isla has her booster?

ETA: This is the new PRA DNA test recently found in ESS, not the regular PRA test done yearly, which would be done seperately as the DNA test only applies to one type of PRA in the ESS (sadly).
