thank you

yep i agree with the all the above your life is much fuller when you share it with a pet

That's truly testament to your parenting skills that she seems to accept her routine. There's humans that don't accept it quite so well. Well done to you - no wonder you are so proud of her

What a lovely post beanieman, its good to know your dog is doing well and you think so much of her, i think we all feel the same on here, i love my dog to bits, can't imagine being without him.

As you say Helena people dont know what they are missing out on, there is poem on the internet somewhere called "only a Dog" but i cant remember where i found it. Its very good.

i hate that expression too, and my parents say it

It makes me feel guilty, about feeling guilty about leaving them. I can't wait until I am retired (a long way off, but I can dream) and I can be with them 24/7. I am spending more time on with my horse now that it's lighter, and I am having less problems, and I walk the dogs before and after to make sure they are not left out. It is exhausting, but then I wanted them in the first place, so it's my responsibility to do what I feel is right by them. I know most people don't walk their dogs for over 3 hours a day, but this is what I feel I owe them, as 3 hours in 24 isn't a huge amount is it. I wish I could stop feeling so guilty about not being with them.

Well done by the way for being able to control and inject your diabetic dog. I wish my sister (human) was as precise about doing blood testing daily!
