There is no doubt that it will change them from what they would have been if left intact. Those with double coats become hairballs, the shape of the body changes much the same as it does on middle age women, if the bitch was dominant that increases and they will bonk anything in sight, if before they were reserved they may be more confident. If done young they may remain scatty and not really grow up. Both spayed bitched and castrated dogs seem to confuse other dogs particularly intact ones and may well be the subject of unwanted attention. Have found that spayed bitches who are kept with other intact bitches may have short periods of incontinence when other bitches are in season and they also take it on themselves to clean up after the in season bitches. If you have a mixed group of bitches it is as well to check the beds as the leaking often happens at night when the bitch is asleep.

Spaying does not necessarily have all, or any, of these negative effects.

Did not suggest that SB, or at least did not mean to suggest that all bitches would be effected in the same way and you are right a boxers coat may or may not change but the owner would be unlikely to notice anyway. All bitches will change shape from that they would have had but that along with the other side effects will differ from animal to animal and dependent on when the hormones were removed from the system. It is also true that a large number of owners will be unaware of the changes.
