Very good point. Do you mention it as a dispute but say it's resolved ('cos other party died) or do you ignore it and say nothing.

Hand on heart Chris, I would say resolved...the guy is dead and unless he's a poltergeist unlikely to cause any further issues...maybe list it as a dispute with now deceased party? I assume the property is now in different hands?? Therefore as I buyer I would see no issues

Hopefully going to view somewhere when I can ring the agent in the morning. I am sure my agent said our buyers had a substantial deposit so I will ask them what to do about putting my name on the list of the place i fancy seeing. Night everyone.

Don't bother calling your estate agent, you'll not get a sensible answer from them 'Substantial' to one person might mean something different to a bank. The agent selling this house said there was no 'chain' which turned out to be a lie


If you get to view a place today and you like it just put your name on the list it won't commit you to anything just yet.
