Totaly agree, a dog (like any crature) has to have a personality and trying to suppress such is another form of cruelty, like all those who just regard their dog as a little kid in a fur coat. Dogs are different creatures to humans they work in different ways, yet they all have their personalties, their habits, and their likes and dislikes, that does NOT make them human 'tho it's surprising how many people can't see that.

BTW was quite impressed you knew all about CV joints last night I only know about them 'cos I had a couple of Minis in my mis spent youth

Awww TW, that is horrible... i don't like cliqueness. When i first went to training their was some kid, her mother and i assume grandad there, the looks i was getting off them was unbelievable, i turned to the grandad, smiled and said hello and the look i got off him was astonishing!!! there were 2 ladies who were really really nice to me and made me feel very very welcome and i think had it not been for them i doubt i would have kept going, i try to say hello to people now but they mostly don't want to bother, if the person is new and on their own i do try to say hello and if they want to be bothered that is fine..if not well i have made the effort

The exercise class was for 2 hours. We exercised for an hour and then had tea and a natter!
This was really what I wanted, to be able to get out and meet new people.
All sounds perfect; attagirl!

Don't answer that, we all know the answer but are not allowed to say it in public
Fact is that there is dire poverty in India. To us that is what matter and all that matters. The govt there will never set things right, so small groups like us do. What matters is that babies are rescued and saved. I will THUMP the next person who comes to my stall saying that there is plenty of money in India, THUMP THEM HARD. With my walking stick! Actually almost no one does a mot folk know the need and will help and we are not begging for money but as I say every week, offering an excellent product at a fair price.

Poor dogs. Mind you at times wish wee dog had a little less... personality! She runs rings round me. Ok I will finally emerge from the shed when you have pleaded and begged BUT no way will I come into the Kitchen! Well, not until you have gone in and left me out here IN THE COLD. Not even then,, but if you open the OTHER door where my bed i I will zoom in and GO TO BED. WHAT ? you are not telling me to go to bed? REALLY>>> So I leave her and go through my lovely DOG BANNED sitting room to the kitchen ,a room she has never been near before. In she trots and LEAPS UP ON THE SETTEE, the only decent furniture in this house! So she bunny hops into the kitchen and I offer her a chair A HARD chair WILL NOT DO.. When I am feeling better will get the second hand armchair out of the workroom for her.. then she wants OUT OUT OUT

Sounds as if the humans need socialising more than the dogs do Dogs are easier to deal with!
