Having 5 minutes I have made a steak pie and a cottage pie for the visitors, both big men with big appetites and a cottage pie for us tomorrow.
This afternoon I will make cakes!

It is coming down in stair rods here, so it is good to be indoors.

Moyra, I did survive the family...just. I was worn out! I'm thinking of cutting the family lunches down to once a month. (Bet I don't )
Mandy I should go with hubby make sure he gets the right thing

Pies sound delicious Nippy Jen'
Mandy we got anew tele the other day didn't need one but it was a bargain. Tesco were doing a 32 inch Blaupunkt for £129.

Helena how was it at the hospital with your hand?

Doing fine here considering! Knocked the bad hand when I fell the other day but thankfully no lasting damage as it would have been tooooooooooooo embarrassing having t go back!

That wrist is over an inch thinner than the other one. till feels as if a bone is out of place but I can do most things now so why worry.

See last tv we bought was 5 years ago and was 50", close your ears and eyes Rose it cost £600 ( came out if his redundancy ) cheaper now and seeing as hubby is a tech head it can't be smaller so I just leave it to him

Picks jaw up from the floor! Mind you at my worst I had 2 tvs and 2 vcrs .Honestly cannot remember the cost in those far off days
