I used to panic about Pereg swallowing large lumps of chicken wings or turkey necks, until I watched her crunch crunch crunch, switch whatever it was from one side of her jaws to the other, more crunch crunch crunch - and so far she has never even tried to swallow anything too large.

[Hopefully she never will].

But she seems to get as much pleasure from the actual crunching as she does from when she finally swallows it. More, probably, as once it has gone that's it!
