That was more than commendable (sp??) of you Claire, a lot of people would have run a mile through the sheer fear of something like that, I hope his family get to hear of your kindness and the fact that he didn't die alone. Hats off to you! Karma, you'll get yours and tenfold

you did the right thing in trying to help, sad to say but there's not many who would try! I did train in frist aid years ago and if that situation was to happen to me I would at least try to help. At least he didn't pass alone.

Aw Claire may god bless you and his family. I only hope if I can't be there when my grandpa goes someone like you is there. Your post has really touched me and now the keyboard and screen are all blurry. I hope he finds peace. And I am so glad you made the transition easier for him x

That touched me that you stayed with him in his final moments.I dont think anyone wants to die alone,but im a bit let down that someone tried to push past you both.Is being held up for a short time really worth more than an old gents final minutes of life?
