When we took our three children we got no shopping done it was a nightmare

I have been alone a few times with my daughter and she loves it she's 10 years old and turned into a shopaholic

Hi Ailsa I think because he is dog mad and dog wise and is used to being around dogs that at his age he will really enjoy it.
It will probably take you and him a couple of days to get over all the walking around you have done .

Hope you both have a great time. Take lots of pictures to post on here so we can all see your son's reactions.

Personally I would take them to either Leeds champ, birmingham(at stafford) or blackpool later in the year..all nice outdoor shows with loads of dogs and stalls, and less people than at Crufts!
