Ted was shut in the kitchen for the first couple of weeks we had him then he had free run of the house once we knew he wasn't going to be destructive or have any accidents. It took him quite a while to come upstairs he used to either sleep at the bottom or in his own bed. Now most nights he comes up to my room during the night and he has a bed next to mine. I allow him on the bed sometimes but he won't get on without me inviting him. He rarely comes upstairs during the day as far as i can tell.
