Of course I think he is both but I would, wouldn't I......
But he does some things that still surprise me.

On the early morning stroll, a little dog wanted to play with him and I have no problem with that. But the owner was calling him back to no effect. Max trotted back with the little dog to the owner who then put his dog on a lead. Then Max came back and we continued our stroll. No verbal instruction given.

What he did was the right thing and the owner was pleased with the result. So was I. Whether Max understood I really don't know. But it isn't the first time.

Maybe we just got lucky.
