now I read somewhere that if you have a boil you should pour hot water into a bottle, empty it out and put the neck over the boil straight away and the boil should pop and explode into the bottle

not tried it btw but I wonder if it would work

hi all thank you so much for you help and advice

we drove a 600 mile round trip to devon and back today to take my son to my brothers for a couple of weeks
it was hurting all the way there
finally popped when i arrived at my brothers
the relief was great
it is still abit sore but nothing like it was

Yep, I've heard of people using the magnisium sulphate in a poultice. Trouble is we never have anything useful in the first aid box when we're in blinking agony do we?!

Give the REALLY HOT flannel soaked in water a go to draw the nasties out.

Take a couple of paracetamol too - may help - don't think they can do any harm.
