I've just had my wisdom tooth out on Monday and it was a difficult extraction was there for 2hrs 15 mins in total! Had 5 injections and didn't hardly feel a thing but can appreciate it would be a worry reagarding a child being scared.

Hope it gets sorted soon, I'd rather have it out than it cause problems further down the line xx

Thanks for all the comments.

Well, I found a center that do sedation for a child of Michael's age; me, not the dentist. The dental surgery had said they couldn't find anyone and were going to refer to the hospital for a GA, although sedation was their preferred option. The center I've found is reasonably local and takes referrals from our area.

The upshot is, our dentist has referred us to them so we have to wait to hear from them. I will grill them before deciding.
