This is another one of these fascinating threads again. When I saw the first picture of the rats I thought "what the hell is that?" I thought they must be birds again but noticed they had four feet instead of just the two . I've never seen rats that have just been born, it's absolutely fascinating. In the last photo you have posted you can see clearly that they are rats.

I've only just found this thread but will keep looking to see their progress. :smt023 Thanks for sharing with us.

not quite right - hopefully these pics will be ok to see the difference

But first, I have some very sad news I have to give my greatest condolences to Gareth - as we lost little runty, she was curled up very sweetly in the nest, and so i think she just passed peacefully in her sleep - I'm just so very sorry that she's gone - though I think, she'd put so much effort into trying to grow that her little body just gave up I think now as well that she was russian blue - her colour had just started to come through overnight We've decided to follow our theme of characters from the 'Woodstock Saga' for when we lose very young, unnamed babies, and her name is Sitka (if that's ok with Gareth?) I'm sorry we failed you beautiful girl

Much happier note, here are this morning's baby pics
