That's what we do.... I keep and breed rare breed poultry, I show them as well. However, we eat our surplus cockerels that we can't sell.

Their heart beats are increased by a massive amount (I doubt thats through excitment!), they dont choose to run, they run because they are pack animals and because they have some plank sat on them whipping away forcing them.. Its a hetic enviroment.. a number of reasons lead me to believe they can be stressed...
