Dean has just called.

It's NOT pancreatitis!

The results from the blood test show:
Slight anemia
Not enough protein
Electrolytes low

Dean will do one more test tomorrow (after confirming with the pathologist) to see if it's some kind of bizarre presentation of Addison's disease.

If it is, this is a much better diagnosis as it's easily treatable.

Mya is much brighter in herself and is off pain relief, although she still hasn't eaten. She's still getting all the fluids via a drip so will be just fine.

Dean feels that she will be back home tomorrow night whatever happens.

He also told me that I was not allowed the luxury of beating myself up, as her condition is not my fault. I was making quite a good job of it too........

If all goes well, my little'un will be home soon...... We have all missed her so much.....

Thanks for your good wishes and the many bucket loads of positive vibes that you've sent through - they've worked a treat! MWAH!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand .......breath! Thats fantastic news. Im sure Mya will be eating soon. It will have taken so much out of her that she probably has lost her appetite completly. But once she's home in familiar surroundings, she'll bounce back. So pleased for you Vicki. I look forward to hearing when you've got your baby home. xx

Thank heavens for that! I've nursed people with pancreatitis and it's an horrendous condition! Glad Mya is feeling better.
