It's fresh from the river Don... still had sealice on it so had just made it's way up the river that same day. It's been really quiet on the Don this year, some say because the Seals are no longer culled and are blocking the river mouth stopping the Salmon from making their runs. Last few days there have been a few caught though, so I guess the Salmon have decided to take a wee chance to get to the spawning grounds.

I heared that it's been a record breaking year on the Don this year and that any muppet could land a whopper.

The place we've booked up in Ardnamurchan for end of Sept is right on the shore of Loch Sunart - I'm going to be teaching Hannah to Fish.
