Patch Welcome aboard. lol. Just over 12 months ago i was sitting in my car with 3 bags of clothes, not much to show for 20 years. Had to leave my dogs behind which was hard, went back 2 wks later to take one to the vets (one way ticket, cancer) Even harder still. Lost all my family and friends. Had no where to live. Found a place, don't like it, but beggars cant be choosers.Got a pup which got stolen 5 wks later (gutted). Been in hospital 3 times for ops. (painful, kidney stone) Got to go back for another op (gall bladder). Angina's come back. Lost 3 months overtime because of ill health, hence the beans on toast. And guess what I'm still
Cant wait for tomorrow mmm ,lovely eggs lollllllll

When OH and I moved into our first house, we couldn't afford to buy food, and the christmas present we got from my mum was:

loo roll
bags and bags of pasta
loads of tins of tomatoes
tins of tuna
tins of corned beef
and she hid a box of chocolates in the bottom

We went through a year or so of eating pasta and tomatoes nearly every night and buying any food from KwikSave's bargain aisle (the out of date stuff)

Definitely know where you're coming from!

Aha, game on, the cards have been dealt, the crowd goes quiet....:

I`ll see your :

Been in hospital 3 times for ops. (painful, kidney stone) Got to go back for another op (gall bladder). Angina's come back. Lost 3 months overtime because of ill health,

and will raise ya :

3 nose ops, [ injury related ], one jaw op, two iffy mole removals, one disabled arm and brain injury [ car crash ], one stomach ulcer, insomnia, cluster headaches, asthma, and loss of proper job working ability 12 years ago due to aforementioned car crash. [ When I have to take any crew to the vets I keep moving so the vet does`nt mistake me for the patient ].

The silent crowd holds their breath while awaiting the turn of the steely eyed cucumber cool gentleman player, will he Raise or Fold...

I know exactly what your going through, and when you do finally go shopping it's straight to the reduced section, to try and find a bargin, and you know exactly what time everything is reduced as well, but your bit about beans n bits did make me laugh, it reminded me of Monty Pythons Spam sketch

Patch, do you want to share my egg tomorrow lol
Christine, i think Ive bumped into you ....Rushing for the bargains
Shelley, from what i know about your neck of the woods which is very little. Wouldn't you prefer a flat cap and whippet. Very bad joke and I'm probably got the wrong part of the country. If theres an apology needed. SORRY

We're not in Yorkshire!!!

I've never met anyone in a flat cap with a whippet though, maybe I should tell the local council?

But south of Manchester, you all eat jellied eels and pie & mash don't you??
