oh no he's not , I used to go fishing with a guy named Rab Payton. He would put 4 or 5 in his lips before sticking them on the hooks.

After the sods have finished eating all the muck out of the corners, you have a fridge that's cleaner than a bottle of CILLIT BANG.

What a stupid name for a household cleaner , the team that thought of that one must've remembered a weekend in amsterdam.

It's true. You just pop them under your tongue while your fishing - a few mins before you change the bait on your hook. Good wrigglers attract fish better.

Ok, that's my lunch over and done with My OH has said exactly the same thing and he wonders why I don't want to go fresh water fishing with him If I saw him doing that, I think I'd knock him into the river He certainly wouldn't be getting a kiss off me, that's for sure

Nero, I can fully understand why your wife had a sense of humour failure

The odd thing is, I've taken her fishing before, and she can bait the hooks herself.

Eeeeeeew!

The thought of maggots make my skin crawl. Bleurgh!

I used to have a couple of red bellied piranha fish and fed them on live food but I could never bring myself to handle maggots.

*shuddering at the thought*

It's not like stinky maggots that you find on a dead animal. They're in sawdust and are clean to touch. Providing you're OK with the wriggling sensation they're fine under your tongue unless you accidentally burst one
