He should stay quite small...but just verifying his type on an octopus forum.
They are absolute masters of escaping and can fit through the smallest of holes so tanks must be very well 'octopus proofed'
They are ingredibly intelligent...they will watch TV,react to the person who feeds them,solve puzzles and even interact with their owners

Wooooooooooooooooooooow, I didn't even know you could keep them as pets.

He is absolutely amazing!

Can they come out of the water then, if they are good at escaping? I have no idea about sea creatures.

Oh yes...forgot to tell you he has a 'wife'...well sort of.They cannot be kept with other octopus' or much at all because they eat most things ..however Ozzie shares his tank with a spiky red starfish called.....

Woww!!! he looks really COOL!!!!!
make sure he doesn't get out it would be a shame if he dried up. i had a friend once who kept one but they lost him and years later moved house they found his little body curled up under the tank very sad

He shouldn't get very big at all(mantle/hea) the size of an egg...so yes I should be able to keep him.However they have a very short life span

To our suprise we found out YES he can come out of water...opened the tank lid to find him hanging from it..sure he was making his first escape bid
