that Gelert story sent a chill down my spine

im not keen on the idea of doing ghosts, but something dog related would be good.
maybe somethin round that story, but cant be same.
any ideas

ok have come up with a base for my story, so any help will be appreciated. Basically, its gonna be based around a dog, thats born on a puppy farm and bought by some 15 yr old. His stepdad runs an illegal dog fighting ring and basically they try and get the boy and his pup involved and try and fight the dog, but he wont fight, so they beat him and things and keep him in a small dark cupboard where he cant move about and they starve him.
Anyway, in the end they dump him on side of the road, and hes rescued, but the rescue centre refuse to rehome him cos they have labelled him a fighting pitbull. So hes put to sleep.
I wanna try and create a very sad story where u feel sorry for the dog and make u realise that these dogs arent bad, and have feelings etc etc.

if u remember these posts u'll know wot i mean, and also that Gelert story. I want to geta message across.
