If you mixed it with enough of the Burns so that it was far out weighed by the Burns then I would but only if you can mix it with plenty of Burns so that it hardly makes a difference in each meal yet gets used up over time.

Thought the Date was Oct 05 not 04. But if they think it is too old fair enough I bet the birds will eat it.

If I can eat out of date stuff, can't see the harm it would do to a dog

if the advise line said no is it really worth the risk over one bag? especially if you never new you had it so wont miss it if that makes sense.

5 months o.o.d. it would not harm your dogs,the only thing that might be different from wats on thelabel is the vitamin content.
