Thank you, you lovely caring lot!! This sounds an impossible feat, but I tried to keep Harvey off his pad today. It was fairly successful due to him sleeping most of the day, apart from going to the toilet and a manic 15 mins at the end of the day.

I have bathed it all day, with diluted dettol and it looks so much better this evening, it appears to have shrunk back.

Very glad he seems better and that you didn't take my advice!

I shall be having words with vet...

Hope all's ok and the pad continues to heal

Just read this, we have the same problem with Savannah, I took her out the other week into some small woods near us, she gave out a yelp and came back at first I could see nothing wrong, then I noticed she was limping on the walk home, when we got home I cleaned her up and she has sliced right across the front toe pad on her rear right leg, I took her to the vets they decided not to stitch as she would need GA and they told me to keep it clean and bandaged up and not allow her to walk on it so much, so she has been crated since I redress it everyday as instructed, but its taking a long time to heal which is what we have been told by the vets, apparently these type of cuts heal from the inside out, so the outside will still look open even though its healing.

Thank you Inca x

Looks so much better today, probably a little sore still, so lots of cuddles given.
