be aware that athough she is not vomiting anymore the meds could be stopping her from vomiting...is she on stemetil? its an anti nausea drug that stops vomiting, by my sister and my dog have used it although it was only my sister that could say she still felt rough even though she was no longer vomiting...just something to thinkabout...

I really hope you get a disgnosis, sometimes its waiting that is the hardest part, once you know you can move on!

I know how you feel, the waiting is unbearable. I just dont think your vet knows enough yet to give you a definate diagnosis. Ive seen some vets tell owners what theyre 'pretty sure' a problem is, sometimes they will give an optomistic guess and sometimes they give worse case scenerio....so the owner is either relieved or devastated....and then when further tests are done it turns out to be completely different than what the vet originally said....its not fair either way.

Where in US are you?

Flipper:

I'm in New Jersey. About 10 minutes outside of New York City. What
about you?

Alex:

I'm not sure what the medicine was to stop the vomiting, but she had
stopped taking it about a week ago and she hasn't vomited in 12
days.

I was in Los Angeles for years and then the Mojave Desert area, between LA and Vegas. The head techinician that I worked with at the first hospital though, she taught me a lot. Shes from Buffalo and then I met her in L.A., she moved back to the East Coast years ago and now teaches aneasthesiology at Tufts. Now she should have been a vet, I think she knew more than half the vets Ive worked with.

Well, I had a wonderful 4 days with my dog and then I dropped her off at
the vet's this morning on my way to work. She's going to have an
ultrasound and a chest X-Ray. I'm praying to God that he doesn't find
anything. She seems absolutely fine. We went hiking and she went
swimming over the weekend, she's eating her dinner and her treats, she's
running around, etc. etc. etc. She's currently taking Clavamax which is
an antibiotic, just in case she has some type of infection.

When I dropped her off this morning, I started crying in the vet's office
which made her upset. I couldn't help it, I'm just so scared that he's
going to find something really bad. I'm going to be picking her up in
about 5 hours.

Please keep fingers and paws crossed for us!

Thanks everyone.
