Katy, Lucy was a street dog in Russia when we got her. She was dropped off by our door and stuck there.

Anyway, she got her name as I was sitting outside. Thinking about how I could get her to let me touch her. And I had the fantastic idea of naming her . Well I was sitting on the steps looking at her, and she sat down in a beam of sun, and as the rays went through her coat. Making her look translucent, Lucy just came to me. And it stuck. Later when I was doing some name research, I found out that Lucy is from the latin word for light, so it was appropriate.
