Morning Jenny, Moyra, Jenny Nippy and Linda.
Jenny glad your son has arrived home safe and the meeting the parents went well. They do say you go for similar to your mum or dad don't they ? Unfortunately I do not have quite the forgiving nature of Gordens mum and her tolerance. Gorden is quite like my dad in his caring ways.
Enjoy your cheat diet day.
Morning Moyra good luck with cutting the lawn and enjoy your meet with friends and the cakes you bought.
Jenny Nippy enjoy your lunch too Dillon it would seem is being fussy.
Morning Linda enjoy the walk over the fields.

Dillon I discovered doesn't like his minces unless I put some minced tripe with it I would happily feed just tripe but I am sure they need other meat proteins. So he is slowly picking his way through his beef with tripe. I will see if he has more of an appetite after our walk.
He ate the stewing steak off cuts cheeky lad. There was me thinking he was ill. Which I definitely know he isn't he followed me down the garden to pooh pick laid on his mound of mud and when I was half way back up the garden there was the thundering of paws behind me and a big black blur went rushing past.
We are going to try to find Oxburgh hall today to see the snow drops. If Gorden remembers the post code we should achieve it.

The Orb! The Orb! It's here again HURRAH!!!! an this time we're gonna keep it. So there! Don't care where it came from or who we pinched it off but we've got it now and it's here to stay (I hope). Well last night, bit of a damp squib really, a true case of all dressed up and nowhere to go. The DAD Club was quite deserted with the exception of one or two hardy bar-flies, you know the sort. It would seem however that there was some sort of action round at Norma's - sadly I hadn't had an invite - but it could well be that is where they all got too. Who knows? Well as it's such a nice day I'm off out to see to the chickens etc. and walk the dingoes. It being sunny an'all I don't doubt there will be an outbreak of hikers in many cases accompanied by ill-behaved dogs and even worse their ghastly brats (I can put up with the dogs - the brats less so). as luck would have it I don't look what one but then the sun comes out andcould call approachable being large and loveable only to a pognophile, also my lot are a bit territorial, so I am spared their cheery hellos and observations on my bucholic way of life, and this suits me just fine! Normally the weather up here means that even if they were there I wouldn't be able to see them

Apologies to all for the garbled way that my last message ended but I think I may have pressed a wrong button or two on the 'puter. I feel sure you'll be able to decypher it - probably makes more sense than normal. It could even be the sun having a strange effect on me. Bye fer now!

Morning again everyone

Had a glorious walk up on the top and I lugged the camera with me, took some great shots, but sadly it was misty in the distance over the other hills, but I shall post some of them up anyway.

We met a glorious fluffy gsd, Zena liked him too, and I thought he was a baby but he was 9 years old, couldn't quite believe that. He weighs in at 38 kgs she told me and he was the perfect weight, glossy coat and he only gets half a tin of chappie a day!! Couldn't quite believe that either, but that's what she told me. Zena has 4 kgs to lose and we are going to get there - eventually.

Lynn, glad to hear Dillon picked up and is happy again, always a worry when they refuse brekkie. We had a gsd once that had nothing but tripe and biscuits and she always did well on it. That was what the breeder fed, so we just carried on with it and never did her any harm, she lived to a ripe old age of 16, in fact, she was the dog we had the longest.

Jenny, yes, glorious isn't it, and I'm going to put my pictures up for you in a min. Lovely that you got on well with son's girlfriend's parents, but then everyone would get on with you two anyway

Jen, enjoy Sunday lunch with all the family there Jen, I love pork, it's my favourite but Dave likes this other stuff, comes in the shape of a leg

Moyra, glad to hear you've got some of this sunshine today, and be careful with the lawn mowing, my lawn is still like a big soggy sponge after days of sunshine, and I'm not going to let the neighbour's son cut it yet, cos I don't think it'll do it any good for its first cut, I might end up with a lot of mud through his mower turns. He did that up at my van

Malka, hope everything is well with you this morning, and Pereg is all cosied up somewhere.

Linda, enjoy your lovely walk over the fields with Loki, and glad to hear you've got some sunshine today.

Bev, glad to hear you finally got there safely. I'm the same as you with those really steep elevators, but I don't like the going up ones, I'm fine with the coming downs. Safe journey tomorrow then and looking forward to lots more pics of Harley.

Dave's clearing out the conservatory, it's not going to be another workshop now, cos I need to have these doors open through it, so I can see Zena out in the garden from my puter desk, plus I want to enjoy this fine weather with all the doors open.

Normal, shame you're having to work on a Sunday, don't work too hard, and enjoy your walk with those muppets

Lunch all prepped and cooking, going to hoover around instead of pressure washing cos Dave's in and out round the back and I might soak him.

Zena's quiet, but then we were out for nearly 2 hours, did her the world of good.

I will put pics up in another thread.

Enjoy a lovely day all

Morning Gordon old fellow, you snuck in there whilst I was typing. Yes, a bit sparse in the DAD club last night for you, but like all good places, it has its quieter moments, usually when Sally aka Bitkin chooses to bury her head in the old archives of history, and June's dribbling away in a chair in the corner. Ahhhh, now I know why you have such a vast array of walking companions, you sound just like my husband, he'd rather avoid the humans at all costs, especially at the week-end. I'm only worried about the loose four legged ones, they're my major problem with an iffy gsd. Hope the Memsahib is cooking something nice for lunch, but then I s'pose that'll be down to the servants downstairs huh? Make sure you're back in good time though won'tcha, otherwise.....well I perish that thought. Have a lovely walk Gordon.

For the attention of Gordon Mac Esq

Dear sir

Please return that orb as it is desperately required here [I am cold] and you have no right to have it it the first place.

Morning all

Helena, hope Dave's scan helps to resolve the issue.

Well, after checking it out, from what was said on here last night and checking it out on Google, as far as I can make out Slander, although a criminal act, is generally treated as a civil matter so I really shouldn't have a problem. Still worrying a little though in case I'm wrong. To be safe I have copied the social network conversations I had (which show I have said nothing to accuse anyone of anything) just in case the police do come calling.

Today I will be mostly catching up with housework. Ironing for the most part, while I watch Buffy. Apart from when I am hanging out washing, cause the weather is actually dry, a little sunny and a bit windy (yesterday was REALLY windy) and getting some housework done.

If I have time I'm planning English homework and mucking about trying to get some targets photocopied, some of it is a little fiddly cause it's small targets.

Helena - There is no chance of the Memsahib cooking any thing nice for Sunday Lunch or any other lunch for that matter. as stated previously she maintains that she has an allergy to cookers and related articles - this allergy is so severe that if she were forced to go near any such articles it would be sure to bring ME out in bumps! She is at the moment languishing in vapid mood on the chaisse longue surrounded as always by her bodyguard of feted felines, and is best left undisturbed. Malka - The Orb is mine! Mine I tell you! You must rely on the Negev winds to dry yer washin' so there! Truly glad that you weren't put off by my gobbledygook! Bye fer now.

Just to put the record straight. There seems to be some misunderstanding apropos my Title, Wealth etc., this is displayed by unsubtle references to Lord and Lady Gordon, brandy in the drawing room, smoking jackets and the downstairs staff. I have even been likened to that Alexander Orlov, that distinguished and much loved Meerkat. I must question what put these ideas into people's heads. I may be titled but it is many centuries old and has little bearing on the modern world and the land that comes with it is but a few hundred acres of moorland, mostly heather and bog (barely able to support the grouse!). Sadly as with many other families of our ilk, times being hard and our circumstances somewhat diminshed we no longer keep a large household - even doing our own gardening, and both Cook and the Housekeeper are only part-time. So there we have it, I do hope that clears some of this up for you good people. See we are just plain old commoners at heart! Got to go now as the dogs are getting restless and we have just had a phonecall to say some Socialists have been spotted on the Bridlepath. Darling bring the shotgun!..........
