Not only do I hate "celeb mags", I hate "celebs", too. Most of them are only famous for being famous, and don't contribute a jot to anyone's cultural life. A vast number seem unable to string two words together in any meaningful way, and their lifestyles are not a great example to kids or anyone else. Look at Victoria Beckham, I gather that she has only just succeeded in reading a book! It doesn't say much about her attention span (your pet goldfish could probably manage better).
I do buy the occasional mag, though - as recently as Thursday, I bought a Mac computing magazine, because it had a free software disc in it. Apart from that, all it had was features about lovely new Macs that I can't afford! Yes, I'd love a G5 dual-processor (which can kick the sh*t out of just about everything else on the market), but the £1999 price tag is well over my head, so I'd rather not know about it, TYVM!
It was quite interesting to read about the latest Adobe CS2, but as I can't afford that either, I'm gonna have to stick with Photoshop v8.0
What use on earth would a celeb mag be to me? Money for less than nothing, IMO! What have our lives become if we need to spend them reading about artificial nobodies? It worries me, you know!
