Morning Lynn and all,

The greyhound walk for greyhound homer I organised went really well. The weather was beautiful and we had 48 greyhounds and twice as many people.
Straight after that Lily and I headed over to the charity horse show my sister had organised and I done the secretarying. So we were out from 9 in the morning till 6.30pm Lily was shattered as was I.
Just been in half hour and Charly and Ash arrived. Ash has now gone back and is at work, he will return for the weekend and Charly is getting ready for her first day back at uni and wondering what route the bus will take her from here and how long it will take so she can get a connecting bus to uni. Its certainly not going to be as easy from here and a lot more expensive.

I am at work from 11 till 5 today so the dog walker will come into Lily lunchtime.

Lynn hope you get the answers you want to day so those contracts can be exchanged.

Pat I hope Mart is doing ok. Munch is gorgeous

Jenny don't envy you the dentist. Hope it goes ok.

H, good luck with that haircut. bet they are dreading you walking through that door

Have a good day everyone

Morning Lorraine good luck with the exam.
The tax discs come through really quickly if you renew on line and I am sure you will be ok because if they check their in car computer it will show up as being taxed.

Morning Bev glad yesterday went so well. I hope Charly's journey isn't too long and awkward for her.

It wasn't the Generator that caused the damage Lynn, it was when a cable from the main supply came down, broken equipment has been taken away and will hopefully be replaced. We are with Scottish Power.

They also decided that it was ok to reverse through a fence to break it down to enable them to reach the electricity pole which is in the adjacent field.

Son has gone off to work now.

Moet - Wow that is horrendous Is it just your house effected? It's certainly going to cost them a fortune replacing all that equipment but the inconvenience to you is going to be huge.... I'm so sorry.
Lore - Best of luck for your exam today.
Bev - Well done with organising the dog walk ... what a huge success being attended by so many. Hopefully Charly will get to Uni OK and on time. A typical youngster leaving her route plan to the last minute You must be feeling shattered after that incredibly long day yesterday. It's OK for Lily who can now go back to sleep
Norma - Enjoy your day and I hope it doesn't take you too long to clear up after yesterday but it does sound as though you all have a great time.
Helena - Good luck at the hairdressers ... I some how missed that.
June - I do hope Keshi and the other girls are OK today. I'll check back in later to see.
Malka - I hope you managed to get a good night sleep after your weekend traumas and Pereg was a good girl for you.

To anyone else (dog included) feeling poorly I hope this new week finds you all feeling better.

Not with it at all this morning even though I had been given something to help me sleep [normally I sleep very well but not when I am in such pain]. I did not even need the alarm clock as they started outside around 6.45am - one is the large JCB [not the humungous ripper uppper, just the large one] and the other is an even more humungous yellow machine [not a JCB, I think it is called a Champion or something] with six massive wheels, the front two being articulated. It is longer than the length of my bungalow and it is going backwards and forwards non-stop. The JCB is also going backwards and forwards picking up loads of sand and stones then dumping them somewhere and this thing is then doing I have not a clue what apart from driving me absolutely nuts.

Yesterday they dumped truckloads of stones and sand every 100m or so, blocking off half the road. The JCB is picking up and dumping, I think, first stones and then the Champion is going over them, then the JCB is dumping sand and the Champion going over that - and everytime it goes past it is like thick fog outside the dust it raises.

Luckily Da Booger has gotten so used to all this balagan so is mostly ignoring it, but the noise, vibration and breathing in dust and sand is causing me breathing problems now on top of everything else. So I am not a very happy bunny at the moment. Please excuse my rant and forgetting what has and will be said on this thread. I feel like I am drowning...

Morning everyone

Goodness, you've all been really busy. I don't have much to say in comparison.

Lynn - Fingers crossed that your reply is positive! Ha ha, you are like me in the morning with breakfasts and lunches to make.

Helena - That would worry me, something like that going wrong, because you need to get it fixed quickly for the guests, don't you? Do you have to refund any money if not?

Pat - What a lovely photo!

Jenny - Big hugs for the dentist visit - rather you than me.

MM - Sorry to hear of your electrical problems! How awful.

Lore - Very best of luck for your exam today.

Bev - Glad to hear Ash and Charly arrived safely.

Norma - Good luck with that housework - I have that tornado look permanently. I'm glad you had fun feeding the ducks.

LL - Enjoy your day.

Malka - Thank you for the Steam Mop update and I'm sorry to hear the dust and stuff is affecting your breathing.

Loki had another peaceful night so is definitely on the mend.

We were woken up by Michael at 4 am who then proceeded to chat for ages. No sleep for me then. He said his tooth was hurting him - the one he broke before. He's still asleep now, having a lie in - unlike me! - so I will see how it is when he has breakfast.

Have a super day everyone.
x

Good morning everyone.
Very overcast here this morning. After yesterdays sunshine we had decided to have a day out and to make the most of it today. Lol we should never make plans that involve good weather!
Take care everyone, I will check in later to see how you all are.
