Morning Malka and all,

Had a text from charly this morning. Ash has gone off to work and she said the silence is deafening as they don't have a tele, radio, cd player or any internet yet and won't have for about 3 weeks when they can get down to their house in Devon and pick up some stuff. She said things are going well though so thats good.

Plasterer has just arrived to do my walls where the plaster has blown, only don't laugh he has just had to go off to get some plaster as he doesn't carry it with him .

Lots more clearing out to do here today and a few phonecalls to make.

Malka that noise must be driving you potty by now. Hope it won't go on to much longer.
Glad you had a good weekend with Dave, H.

Have a good day all and take care.

Morning friends.
Well what rain we had over night, tremendous. I suppose it was needed but my garden has been flattened
Nothing planned for today just the usual Monday stuff. I hope you all have a good day and that everyone is well.

Good morning fellow members a bit fresher this morning with heavy showers remaining.

I spent most of yesterday cleaning out the garage and it is now neat and tidy.

There is lots of cleaning to do in the house now it has rained and settled some of the dust created by the farmer hay making. It was too hot to close the windows and there is a layer of thick dust on everything.

My DIL is still doing her duty in court this week so there will no doubt be lots of babysitting and picnics if it is fine.

Enjoy your day everyone

Morning all

Malka, hope that noise finishes soon for you.

Helena, try Antihisan on your bites, I have it for the clegg bites I occasionally get from being at Fort George, it's really good.

Had an early start, Davie is being taken bowling by his support worker. Brian is still in bed so I am getting breakfast then going for a run. Once I wake a little. Was up till 2am watching Iron Man with Davie.

The rest of the day, not sure what I am planning yet, have to see what the day brings.

So they dug a trench, chucking earth and stones all over my path and into my yard, and laid the kerbs. NORMAL kerbs. All across the end of where my ramp ends.

Not a dropped kerb as I had been promised

I have just done more than a fishwife act - I got The Silver Monster out so they could see the size of him and sat in Xanadu and blew my top. I actually ended up throwing stones everywhere [not that I could have hit anyone even if I had aimed at them].

In the end the big boss turned up and told me that only people with a car and who have built a driveway are entitled to a dropped kerb.

The fact that he could see both The Silver Monster and Xanadu does not, in his little mind, matter. He told me to walk up the steps or on the path like everyone else does, and if I do not like it then stay at home.

OMG Malka, is there anyone you can ring, that is a disgusting and disgraceful thing to say and also to do when they can see your circumstances. There must be someone in charge of it all somewhere that can boot this idiot out of his job and put in a better person with a brain preferably.
No idea what to say to you, I am so sorry you are suffering like this.

Oh Malka, who can you appeal to to make sure you get your dropped kerb reinstated. That man is bldy rude! In circumstances like that I feel like saying try living with my disabilities and see if you would like someone telling you to get on with it. Cheeky s*d. Pardon me but it does make me so mad when they treat the disabled as 2nd class citizens. I hope you get it sorted Malka.
