Happy Birthday B! What a super huge cuddly monster of a dog she is! Lucky to still be looking so good as I imagine such large dogs don't have a very long life expectancy? Hope we see her next year too!

Thanks Sally and all above. She's on medication for her heart and breathing difficulties plus something when ever her digestive problems occur. She's lived with these problems since birth having been the last of her litter to survive and then going first to a family where we think the grandmother beat her with a broom and she was nearly PTS. It was just by chance the breeder telephoned them and found out and immediately took her back. In spite of her health problems in the first years she thought it was her duty to protect us and to provide food for us and to keep us safe. She's not the most affectionate of dogs, you rarely get a lick from her, but I know in my heart that if ever we (that is myself, OH, and Rianna) were in danger and she could in some way avert that danger then she would do so, even if it meant giving up her life.
