what about bathing it in warm salt water might ease it for him a bit?
not nice when their ears are playing up..................... hows the little man????

He is in discomfort, sleeps a lot.......is very brave when I clean his ears......love this dog :smt049

Buy the "garlic capsules " from tesco, pierce a capsuel with a pin and sqeeze into ear and massage in, do this a couple of times a week , and see how it goes.

Thanks for that Jackbox thats something I have never heard of or tried and I have some of the tesco garlic capsules in the cupboard so I will give it a try after when I can get someone to pin him down for me

Sweep went to the Vet yesterday - He has swabs taken of both ears sent off for culture, should get result next week. The Vet said that if the infection is fungal then Sweep may have to have his ears flushed out under GA If it is bacterial then it may be treated orally, just have to wait and see. Also asked her about the staring that he does and she says it is Senility - No surprise there really!!! He has also lost muscle on his legs and his arthritis is worse, we have anti inflamatorys for him. So we wait to see the results next week.

Atleast he has ben to the vet and will be treathed.

Awww poor boy...

I hope the anti inflammatory works. And hope the results next week will be good
