Sounds like there may be a problem then but I wouldnt worry about the cow hocks it doesnt cause problems at all. Are they going to x ray him or have they put him on meds.

My previous gsd puppy would yelp at 12 weeks old if you pulled each hind leg back each side, which some stupid person did who thought she was an authority on dogs She lived to 11 1/2 with NO hind leg problems and no stiffness either, cancer got her in the end sadly. She was cow hocked too all her life, it wasn't a problem.

bless him ....
havnt read all the posts

as said cow hocks are undesirable in some breeds but shouldnt cause probs.

pups can look all sloppy and uncoordinated then grow into a swan

rom is an important way to see if there may be a prob with hips but always x-rays should be performed.

sadly in my exp ddb are not blessed in the joint dept in this country, almost all i know suffer ed/ocd and or hd... very sad state of affairs for such a relatively new breed over here

Ah it could be that there loading weight on too fast then. As I've said cowhocks is purely cosmetic really. Sounds liek the breeders know what their doing.
