Stop the rawhide, that is definitely bad for dog's intestines, it always used to upset mine! Ask the vet about those F4D then, they might be allowed in time.

Am sorry your dog is poorly and hope he's feeling better soon. Don't know if would help treat wise but just bought a buster cube to put some of my dogs dry vet diet food in, makes it bit more fun, also but wet food in a kong as madmare suggested, it does help. Hope you don't mind me asking but did vets diagnose Gastric ulcer from doing endoscopy? Is relevant to what's going on with my dog.

Thankyou, it must be very worrying but hope with diet and any treatment your dog will be ok. I am very frightened of my dog possibly going for endoscopy even though quite young(sorry know it's silly). She has been given Antepsin and tablets for if has flare up for now, and has been ok with the odd JWB crackerjack treat(did ask vet), might be ok for your dog too in time, but check first. Good luck with everything.

No, I realise that, but I'm only suggesting in case he is in the future, when he gets over all of this coz you were asking about treats. Good luck with him.

Not even a tiny piece of anything

.

This may be a treat worth trying in the distant future, but the first thing to do is to make sure that the stomach lining is completely healed and this could take 6 months or more.
Any treat could have killed our dog, but 3 years on, we can risk the very odd carefully chosen treat

My cocker Truda was diagnosed with IBD when she was 18 months old - she is nearly 12 now.

She has been on Zantac Syrup since then (1ml before each meal) and vet perscription diet which works a treat.
Have got through a fair few bottles of the stuff!

No treats for Truda, only the food........ not worth it seeing her suffer cos I'd given her something else.
