I lost about 6 pounds when I first got Molly but now It's hayfever season I get a sore throat from walking through the fields so I come back and have an ice cream to soothe my throat so it's all gone back on

Debateable!
I've got fitter living with an over exhuberant English Springer who lives life at a million mph and has no time to stop unless its to swim and a terrier x who, although being low and long with diddy little bowed legs which gives her the appeareance of an amble/waddle when she runs, manages in vein to keep up with her big brother. Yet i think ive gained weight in way of upper body muscle from managing to steer the previously sad exhuberant ess when I sin against the spaniel gods and put him on a lead. And definately have developed a bit of a naughty lust for mature cheddar as i use so much of it to get their attention! Just my luck

Same here. Especially if I plan a long walk - for some reason (I should have been a boy scout really) as soon as the idea for a long walk comes into my head I start packing my bag & thinking -
Water (for me & dog)
Sandwiches (lovely to have a picnic somewhere)
Fruit (attempt at being healthy)
Cake (dessert of course) and don;t they take Kendal Mint Cake or fruit cake on long hikes?
Loose sweeties like wine gums or boiled sweets for instant energy when needed
Chocolate bar (ditto)
Packet of crisps (just because).

And then I get home 4 hours later dog-tired and think I deserve a good dinner and pudding for being so adventurous.

My dog's lovely and lean and fit though!

That made me chuckle -as I think I would be exactly like that if I had a large/high energy dog

Yup, I've lost 14lbs since getting Scarlett in Aug of last year and I've lost another 3lbs since March I have an 80/20 principle on eating so I've managed to keep it off.

Funny how you can lose it without trying or even realising. It wasn't until my jeans waistband was so loose I had to change before walking.Good job,eh? Imagine the sight in the middle of the park mid recall! lol
