I would say currently all of mine are at their ideal but Rio sometimes goes a little over and Diesel sometimes goes a little under but keeping an eye on it and adjusting intake accordingly returns them to ideal. I only weigh them about once a year but keep their weight under control with a visual check which is easy with shortcoated breeds.

Tess is a thin 3... I was worried she was heading towards 2 as she's hell on wheels to feed, but our vet saw her yesterday and said she's perfect she's finally made the transition to raw this week, and for the first time ever actually gets happy and excited at feeding time.... and empties her bowl... thanx to all who've provided info on this forum about raw feeding!

I would say Flynn is ideal weight (3) although he has put some on recently and I dont think it suits him. The 2 collies have put some on also so i'd say they were a 4 but all are being cut down on their food a little.

I prefer dogs on the leaner side and as it's summer, they dont really need a layer of fat to keep warm. I dont mind so much in winter as they need that layer.

I would say my 3 are as follows:
Tilly is a 3
Shady 4
and Bailey 2

I know Shady seems overweight to me BUT....
she is for a GSD but maybe not for a Newffie.
and Bailey as you all know has been poorly BUT...
he's always been on the leaner side and I can feel his ribs and backbone.

I'd say Dan and Rogue are both a three, Rio is more like a 2. She eats enough most of the time but doesn't put on weight, although she is healthy. I'm hoping she will fill out as she matures.

Daisy is just right, Bran is OK but could probably lose a little more to benefit his arthritis, Shamus is on the porky side - no idea why, he is fed less than any of the others - and Razzle... no idea. He has such an enormous coat it`s hard to tell. He feels OK though.

Maddy I would say is 2.5, not quite a 2 but not quite a 3, she has always been very lean and a bit 'ribby' but she is 100% fit and healthy, it's just how she is.

Charlie, Dusty and Star are a 3, I can't abide my dogs being overwieght, there is no need for it except from lazyness.

Bear on the other hand....

I'd say he was a bit of a podgy 4.

Dahlia's like a 3.1 or something. She's just about ideal, but could afford to lose a pound or two (working on that).

Of course, she LOOKS like a 4 but that's all hair. lol

I would say Misty is a 3, Dita & Angel both around 2.5 (between 2 & 3).

I'd say Murphy is a 3. Ribs are easily felt and he has a definite waist, although he's never had much of a tuck-up.

He's a very large, heavy set, big boned but definitely NOT fat, male Beagle.
