I did wonder about that---do they work like springers? Super keen and very clever?

Not like Springers, no. They are HPR's, more in line with Weims and GWP's. Clever...yes, too smart for their own good. Keen...to please themselves, yup!

I think I have to meet a few, they are at the back of my mind for a breed I like but I love the springer keenness.

ohh thats a tough one because i love so many breeds as they are!
But i think for me maybe, chinese crested powderpuff, boder collie and Italian greyhounds! all intelligent breeds, have seen all 3 breeds do well in agility! and would be intresting to see what they turned out like..Italian greyhound and cresteds are similar in size and shape..Although not sure how i would get a boder collie in the mix there just a little bit to big

Then I could have the ultimate wolfalike xxx the Irish Mute
I want one!!!

I also would have a Poodle x Affen it would look exactly like an Affenpinscher but be just that bit more trainable and we would be world champions in mini agility! Yeah!

And a Poodle x Basenji x Finnish Spitz that would look exactly like a Finnish Spitz but with reduced shedding and barking.
