That makes me so angry! I used to say to people they should brush their pets as often as they brushed their own hair, but sadly it all too often fell on deaf ears.

Well done you for putting the cat first.

My colleague's cat is also twelve and in fine condition. TBH I doubt she knew about the paws. You couldn't see it before we cut the mats away.
Pah! some people make me sick. Well done you!

You did the right thing - how can she have the front to bring her into be groomed in that state - did she not think someone would report her. Its a pity the cats still with her. What did the RSPCA say when you contacted them ?

She will be having a visit next week. They know she has now been shaved down, and I've done what I could with regards to the nails, but they will be having a word about vet treatment etc. and keeping on top of her in the future. Just hope it works.

Poor cat It's great that you can make sure something is done about it though! When we had our 20 year old cat he used to have to be brushed all the time but we just did it in the evening when he'd be sat with us, surely the owner could have tried to brush the cat then?

Very few excuses would do for a cat to be in that state theirs sound very poor indeed, I applaud you for being a voice for that poor cat.
How were you to know one of your customer's were RSPCA affiliated and they just so happened to see the cat

I do hope they take action. Good on you for reporting this, poor wee thing, I can't believe they would let it suffer like that
