I'm going to knuckle down, and make my dogs the best gundogs there are! (well, close to it at least!!!!)

I'm taking things slowly with them, as I don't want to confuse Misty and break the bond that is forming between me and Blade, but he thinks I should be progressing much quicker!! Ohhh well, I've got my ways, he's got his!!

I can't help but get a real sense of pride when Blade just stands next to me when OH call's him!
OH get's really frustrated though, I don't think Blade would have suited him, as OH doesn't have a lot of patience really, he can just about cope with Gracie, who can be quite nervous in new situations!

I am in love with Blade though!! He is such a little character, and he loves his cuddles!!! It's fantastic when I have the 4 gundogs out together, as Hamish and Gracie go off together and then Misty and Blade go off together, it couldn't be more perfect!!!

I was doing a 'Blade Progress Blog' but got to day three, and haven't got any further than that!!! That might be something to do tomorrow I think!!

I would tell him exactly where to go if he were my oh, they are your dogs, you train them how you want.

Just a thought, if I'm so terrible at training dogs, then why does Midge no longer chase rabbits, and has recall that can be better than HIS labrador!!!!??

If I were you, I'd leave him and keep the dogs. I wouldn't be putting up with that.

TBH, I would be telling him that as they are YOUR dogs and not his then it is entirely up to you how and when you train them! I would also point out that as he is not the owner, he has no right to be telling anyone that they might be giving them away! Cheeky sod - sounds to me like he needs a stern talking to
