There is evidence to show that ecinacea purpurea given to a dog with bortedella (kennel cough) stops the disease in its tracks as quick as nasal vaccine with far less side effects.
My dogs get ecinacea as part of their daily feeding regimen and in 35 years we have never had the KC.

Maybe a try wouldnt hurt
