mine love raw carrots too, one of there fav things!

Archie loves raw carrots too, I give him half every few days and no probs with that so far... but as Hoggett says, be surprised for extremely orange poo

My two sit together every morning at about 7am waiting for their slice of carrot each as the rabbit is being fed. The only problem is that there is always a pool of dribble on the kitchen floor from Bandit lol. It is like someone has turned on a tap.....Cheers...Ian..

Hi Otis there are a couple of ways to give carrot to your dog, firstly feed whole purely for chewing purposes and to clean the teeth and secondly as a very nutritious food .Vegetables have a cellulose skin covering which prevents the dog from digesting it properly,that is why if you give a dog a carrot it is recognisable as it comes out the other end . If you are feeding carrots or any veg as part of the barf diet to get the nutrients they should be crushed first. The best way to do this is to process the vegetables through a juicer or meat mincer. A food processor can also be used providing it is run for long enough to crush the vegetables.

Ally gets atleast one carrot a day. She shares with the ponies and seems to love it. As and other has said, it helps the cleaning their teeth

Mine always have a raw carrot after their meals, and also as a treat instead of biscuits which are fattening and George is fat enough! I probably give them too many, as they have about 4 a day each! Lol! Is that too many??
