Ahhh but that's the way they're supposed to be! It's actually in the breed standard that they're somewhat DA (they use a different term) and not fans of strangers... but they're extremely tough, healthy, smart and versitile... besides having an awesome wire coat. my kinda dog if I ever bought a puppy from a breeder! I'm not likely to find one up for rescue around here!

doubt your likely to find one in rescue anywhere

I like the IT's but you dont see many, or Airdales.

Actually, oddly enough there are some in rescue in the States. I joined an IT yahoo group years ago, and some come up for rescue now and then. There was a group of 7 IT's that were rescued from a puppy mill in Florida a few months ago. There are a number of Airdales around here. While they aren't a popular breed, they're approaching common.

I love the Lurchers and the chi, one day I'm gonna have that mix of dogs I swear! But their all gorgeous, that first pic is to die for.
