I thought shih tzus were very vocal!

Rocky does when he hears the door or sometimes when playing *touch wood* cos its a bearable amount!

Jas only barks if I really wind him when he's playing or if the back door get's shut and he's still outside

i think thats the case,

i shouldnt worry aboiut the fact that your friends dog never barks....kiera doesnt either, where as pepper on the other hand barks at everything!! Newfoundlands dont bark much as a rule the breed doesnt although there is always the exception to every rule! Im quite pleased she doesnt bark because the couple of times ive heard her and been unfortunate enough to be stood next to her, i thought my chest was going to colapse her bark was that deep, i could feel the vibrations....like when you stand next to a speaker when the music is on too loud!!
