Difficult for me to choose one particular win too but agree with Nursey and Deccy in that there is something a bit special about a good win with a veteran.

Hamish (my avatar) won Best Veteran in show at the first Finnish Lapphund UK club show under a Finnish breed specialist, at 11yrs, in September this year. This will probably be my last show.... well at least in this lifetime

I grew up close to Belle Vue Zoo in Gorton Manchester, its now a multiplex cinema ( )
That place introduced me to the big world of animals. My dad used to be a zoo keeper there so we got into everything for free. I think for me personally that was my ticket to understanding shows & animals.
Never been to crufts as I hate crowds but when I entered my first dog into a class she came Best in Reserve. That was a lovely feeling.

Mine would have to be with a Alaskan Malamute Austraila Champion Ice Warrior aka Ice.
A very good friend had bred this dog and he had been returned to her as a very scared and over weight 2year old she had sent months getting his weight off and trying to fix his nerves when she had contacted me and had ask if I would come up and have a look at this boy and tell her what I thought of him, he was beautiful but very shy Margaret offered me him saying he would never get into the show ring but his lines were great, I knew what cause his problems and knew I could get him right so I took him on. Six months later with a lot of love and hard work on both our parts we hit the show ring and on his second outting he went Best of Breed, RUBIG and Best Interm In Show. He was awarded many BIGs and RUBIG's including at the Royal Hobart Show with his breeder watching on.
He gain his Australian Champion Title in 8 shows not bad for a dog that had all his problems. He went back to his breeder in 2001 to keep him safe from my then husband, but 3 months later he died in his sleep

Id find it hard to pick just one. ive twice had BOB at Crufts with 2 different girls so they where special, ive also won 3 champion stakes at champshows they too where something you dont forget, the 24 cc's and title of Breed Record Holder too was and still is a thrill but my most special day was when at just over 2 years Casey won Bob Under Peter Jolley, The Utility Group under Terry Thorn then went on to Best in Show under Bryn Codogan at WKC Champshow beating over ten thousand dogs and making another record as no shar-pei has won one before or since, i have so many special memories with my dogs and would love to think the 2 girl pups im keeping back might bring me some more although Casey will be a tough act to follow.

My best day I think was last year when Bobs won Reserve Best in Show at only 13 months old. Obviously the result was a shock and a surprise but what was uplifting was my little man showed his heart out and gave his all to the very end of the day. He was a little star that day and continues to be today.

Easy - it was when Jasper my beloved German Shepherd (at the bridge) won 5 trophies at an Open Show under a breed expert judge. Hands down it beat any other show day ever! We even got Best In Show.

Because there was a special Best of Breed Class Trophy, and he was a respected judge there were many German Shepherds there that day, a lot of whom I knew were regularly placed at Champ Shows.

I only showed lightly and was a complete novice, him being my first 'proper' show dog.

It didn't matter to me that it wasn't a Champ Show, we never got to show him at that level due to an injury, but it was one of the highlights of my life! The judge loved him and told me he was an excellent example of the breed and I could go far with him, the fact that fate intervened made no difference, I will always hold that day dear in my heart.

I've shown this pic before, he we are on that day:-
