She also has a bald patch on her head, only about the size of a 5p - wonder if that is related too.

Yeah - there do seem to be some similarities. She does not appear to be in pain, has no ulser type things and is not off her food. But i will definately mention it to the vet this afternoon. She never paws at her eye so it doesn't seem to be itchy or painful.

Will keep you posted.

Hi Catrin swollen glands are usually associated with a minor infection of some kind. My last puppy had swollen glands on one side when she had an infection in her paw. It is also thought by many that anything which puts the body under 'stress' can affect its ability to fight infection, so puppies can be more susceptible to infection when teething .

Swollen glands can also be associated with more serious conditions like lymphoma (but this is mostly in older dogs, I lost a bitch with this condition ) and they should always be checked by the vet.

I hope Tonks is better soon, he could have picked up a bit of infection while teething.

Thank you everyone. She has just been out on a walk and was her usual happy self, unlike yesterday when she was lethargic (mind you, it was raining yesterday and she hates the rain!). I shall mention it all to the vet and let you all know. Thank you for your replies. x
