Sorry I did not realise that you meant your dog was scared around other dogs, in which case I do not think plunging him into a class full of strange dogs is the way to go. Think you will need to get him used to one or two dogs at a time and then increase once he is more confident.

Sadly some dogs will never gain the confidence they need to be comfortable with a group of strange dogs think it has a lot to do with early experience and the time they left their dam and litter mates. Have seen this problem with dogs from a small litter say only one or two.

Personally, I think he left his litter to soon. The bitch was removed from the pups around 5 wks and I bought Red home at 6wks 4 days old.
Maybe that has something to do with it, I don't know, but I can blame myself for his lack of socialisation around other dogs as I'm allergic to dogs in general.
However socialisation around people is great, especially children.
As it happens I have already booked the course for Red, I'm hoping there wont be to many dogs there.
He needs to shape up on his recall and walking on the lead anyway, so hopefully it will turn out ok.

It's best to work on his behaviour first anyway because if he isn't good with other dogs, it will rub off on her

Two dogs are extra work in many ways, but they can be well worth it!

Poodles are known for being a 'people' dog.. They like people better than other dogs... Dogs all have their little 'things'! My language skills elude me... I have no idea how to spell what I wanted to say... English is my second language.

Cheers
